FatWire CMSを構築する技術者専門のコミュニティーがYahooGroupにあります。1999年からMLでディスカッションが行われており、現在1200名以 上のFatWireCMSの技術者コミュニティーに成長しました。FatWireが主催するものでなく、第3者のコミュニティーですが、活発に議論されて いるようです。
1990年代にCMSはIPS(Internet Publishing System)と呼ばれていました。
